The Palace Cinema, Balwyn was the location for the first Manningtree community event. Almost 40 people gathered for a special private screening of the just released “The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society”, on Thursday 19 April.
Enjoying a light lunch prior to the screening, the room was abuzz with chatter and laughter, as prospective residents came together to enjoy each other’s company and meet their new neighbours. Many were pleasantly surprised to meet up with people they already knew through their existing community connections.
Sales Manager Anne Kemp, who gave the group an update on the development’s progress, said it was fantastic to see such an enthusiastic response.
“We’re really keen to build a sense of community right from the start, and it’s clear that Manningtree’s future residents are keen to do that too.”
