Join highly acclaimed amateur historian and storyteller Isabel Simpson as she peels back the layers of Manningtree Road to reveal its rich history.
In this interactive, illustrated chat you’ll meet the people who called Manningtree Road and surrounds home.
From journalists, mayors, politicians and Premiers, to pastoralists and captains of industry. A child prodigy, opera singer, conductor and writer, to an Inspector General of Water Works. It’s been home to German and Italian communities, Capucin friars and the location of ladies schools. Like all great neighbourhoods, it’s even had its share of mystery and mayhem.
A great way to truly discover your new address! We look forward to seeing you.
